Register to Attend

The AAG 2020 Virtual Annual Meeting will take place from Monday, April 6, to Friday, April 10. PLEASE NOTE: All sessions will take place in Mountain Time.

Due to a glitch in our registration software, some attendees have had difficulty registering because their personal computers and devices are translating AAG's registration fees from U.S. Dollars to their native currency. Our system is only able to process registrations in U.S. Dollars, so please switch your primary language settings on your computer to English (United States) before registering for the annual meeting. This will solve the error problems that some folks have been experiencing.

Fees

To participate in the Annual Meeting, all attendees must pay the appropriate registration fee. You will not be able to submit an abstract for presentation if you are not registered for the meeting. All advanced registration fees may be paid online. Please note, participants originally registered for AAG 2020 Denver are automatically registered for AAG 2020 Virtual. New participants wanting to register for AAG 2020 Virtual since the cancellation of AAG 2020 Denver on March 11 must pay the appropriate registration fee.

Student/retired/underemployed members: $10
Regular members: $20
Nonmembers: $40

 

Registration categories for the 2020 Annual Meeting:

Paper or Panel Registration:
  • For paper presenters and panelists (paper, lightning paper, and panel session presenters; includes session organizers, chairs, and discussants)
  • Includes access to attend the full meeting, exhibit hall, receptions, and all sessions


  • Poster or Non-Presenter Registration:

  • For poster presenters  (poster and guided poster presenters; includes session organizers and chairs) OR 
  • For attendees who are not presenting
  • Includes access to attend the full meeting, exhibit hall, receptions, and all sessions

  • Retired members will receive the same rate as Student Members.
  • The AAG offers a reduced registration fee for our Annual Meeting to members who are un- or underemployed, with annual incomes less than $25,000. Un- and underemployed members will receive the same rate as Student Members.
  • Partner registration available on request.  Please mail or fax (202-234-2744) a registration form along with the registration receipt of the fully registered attendee whom you will accompany. Due to PCI compliance AAG is unable to accept emailed registration forms.
  • Attendees may change from a Poster or Non-Presenting registration to a Paper or Panel registration for an additional fee. If you would like to change your registration type, please edit your registration.

    Developing Regions Membership Program

    The AAG has long advocated interacting with and providing support to geographers and other colleagues from developing regions of the world. In this spirit we have established the Developing Regions Membership Program, through which eligible professionals may join the AAG for the deeply discounted rate of $20 per year.

     

    Media Passes

    The AAG invites accredited professionals working for general and scientific media organizations to apply for a media pass. Freelance writers working on assignment or possessing appropriate credentials are also invited to apply for a media pass. If you are interested in applying to attend as a media representative, please first create an account in our database, and then fill out this form. This will help us process your registration quickly in the midst of our Denver meeting cancellation process.
