Fees

To participate in the Annual Meeting, all attendees must pay the appropriate registration fee. You will not be able to submit an abstract for presentation if you are not registered for the meeting. Advanced registration fees may be paid online. The below fees apply only to new 2021 registrations and are not applicable for any registrations that were transferred from the 2020 Meeting.

Due to a glitch in our registration software, some attendees have had difficulty registering because their personal computers and devices are translating AAG's registration fees from U.S. Dollars to their native currency. Our system is only able to process registrations in U.S. Dollars, so please switch your primary language settings on your computer to English (United States) before registering for the annual meeting. This will solve the error problems that some folks have been experiencing.

For Companion/Spouse registrations please include the registration receipt of the registered attendee whom you will accompany. AAG can not accept emailed registration forms due to industry data security standards.

  • Each attendee may only submit one abstract for presentation. For information about abstract submission guidelines and deadlines visit the Deadlines & Submissions page. In an effort to conserve paper, printed programs are only available for purchase.
  • The AAG offers a reduced registration fee for our Annual Meeting to members who are un- or underemployed, with annual incomes less than $25,000. 
  • Attendees may change from a Poster/Non-Presenting registration to a Paper/Panel registration for an additional fee. If you would like to make this change, please edit your registration and select the “Upgrade” option.
  • If you need accessibility accommodations in order to participate in the AAG Annual Meeting, please let us know at accessibility@aag.org.  More information about accessibility accommodations can be found here.
  • Meals are not included under any registration category.
  • Developing Regions Membership Program

    The AAG has long advocated interacting with and providing support to geographers and other colleagues from developing regions of the world. In this spirit we have established the Developing Regions Membership Program, through which eligible professionals may join the AAG for the deeply discounted rate of $20 per year.

     

    Media Passes

    The AAG invites accredited professionals working for general and scientific media organizations to apply for a media pass. Freelance writers working on assignment or possessing appropriate credentials are also invited to apply for a media pass.
