Photography, Videography and Audio Recordings in Sessions
Photos, videos or audio recordings may not be taken during paper or poster presentations without the permission of the presenter. Anyone doing so without permission will be asked to leave the conference.
AAG Photo and Video Release
When attending American Association of Geographers (AAG) events, you consent to photography and video recording and its release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by AAG. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar AAG events in the future, highlight the event and exhibit the capabilities of AAG.
When you register to attend, you release AAG's employees and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of photographs, computer images and/or video. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by AAG or the person or entity designated to do so by AAG.
By registering for and attending the meeting, you agree to our above photography/videography terms and conditions.
Tips for New Attendees
- While AAG does not have a 'dress code' per se, we recommend business casual attire for Annual Meeting attendees.
- AAG asks that all attendees minimize their use of strongly scented products that trigger reactions such as respiratory distress, nausea, and headaches.
- Please be mindful of your surroundings at the Annual Meeting. Wearing your AAG badge and lanyard outside the conference hotels indicates that you are a tourist in the host city and, therefore, a potential target for thieves or panhandlers.
- There is much more going on at the Annual Meeting than paper and panel sessions - be sure to explore all the conference has to offer! For example - visit the Exhibit Hall, walk through poster sessions, attend the International Reception, go on a field trip, participate in a workshop, visit the Jobs and Careers Center and much more!
